Five things I teach every stylist before their first transformation

Nessa Pestova

Technique is a language. Once you understand it, you can create anything - but you have to learn the grammar first.

In every training I teach the same five foundations before we touch a transformation: reading the canvas, sectioning with intention, tension control, timing, and communication with the guest in the chair.

Most stylists don't lack talent. They lack a system. Talent gets you started - a system keeps you growing for twenty years.

Education is not an event. It is a habit.
